Beauty company Kao Corporation, and Beauty Packaging’s 9th ranked Global Beauty Company of 2011, has donated 1,000,000 yen (approximately $13,000 US) to the Philippine Red Cross in relief to the people and regions damaged by the typhoon that hit Mindanao, southern Philippines, over December 16 and 17. In addition, the Kao Heart Pocket Club, a voluntary aid organization set up by Kao Group employees, and Pilipinas Kao, the Kao Group company in the Philippines, have also made donations to aid relief in the region. Pilipinas Kao also is helping residents of the city of Cagayan de Oro recover from the failure of the water and electricity power supply by providing a company-owned fire truck and four ISO containers to supply water for their daily needs.
